Bespoke stainless steel exhaust systems – OE replacement & performance
Berend GmbH develops and manufactures Bespoke stainless steel exhaust systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, classic cars, and motorsport vehicles. Whether it’s a complete series replacement, performance optimisation within legal parameters, or a special solution for racetracks and shows – we supply precisely manufactured systems from V2A (1.4301) or V4A (1.4571/1.4404), entirely manufactured in-house in Wietmarschen.
Materials & Quality
All exhaust systems are manufactured by us from seamless or longitudinal seam welded stainless steel tubing in standard diameters of 38 to 102 mm (others on request). For increased requirements regarding salt and chloride resistance, we recommend V4A (1.4571/1.4404). Wall thicknesses are adapted to thermal load and NVH targets, surfaces are optionally raw, brushed or polished.
Components & Assemblies
We supply the complete system or individual assemblies: pre-silencers, centre silencers and rear silencers, Y-pipes and H-pipes, resonators, and connecting pipes. This includes elastic hangers, decoupling elements, clamps, brackets, gaskets, and complete mounting materials. For sports applications, the integration of active sound systems and electronic flap controls possible.
Design: Performance, Sound & Comfort
Back pressure, NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness), and sound character are tuned in relation to the vehicle. We consider the planned use: Daily Driver, Track Day, Towing, or Winter Operation. Resonant frequencies are eliminated through targeted pipe lengths and chamber geometry. The result: a system that is performance-optimised, quiet inside the cabin, and audibly appealing externally.
Licensing & Road Traffic
Replacement and accessory silencers for use on public roads require valid approval (ECE Regulation or ABE). The noise level must not exceed the vehicle's type approval. We can advise you on approval requirements, recognised testing centres, and approved alternatives for your vehicle.

As a direct manufacturer, we offer all components from a single source: Exhaust Adapters & Connectors in all common diameters, Collars & Pipe brackets for secure mounting as well as Exhaust tailpipe trims, heat protection mats and other accessories. Pipe material like Stainless steel tube by the metre is also directly available.

Was kostet eine Edelstahl-Auspuffanlage nach Maß?
Das hängt von Fahrzeug, Rohrführung und Schalldämpfer-Konfiguration ab. Ein Serienersatz ab Kat ist günstiger als eine komplette Performance-Anlage mit Klappensteuerung. Senden Sie uns eine unverbindliche Anfrage mit Fahrzeugdaten – Sie erhalten ein konkretes Angebot.
Baut ihr die Anlage auch ein?
Ja. Sie können die Anlage bei uns in Wietmarschen direkt am Fahrzeug fertigen und montieren lassen – das garantiert perfekte Passform. Alternativ versenden wir vorgefertigte Anlagen zur Selbstmontage.
Ist eine Maßanfertigung straßenzulässig?
Wir bauen auf Wunsch so, dass die gesetzlichen Grenzwerte für Geräusch und Abgas eingehalten werden, und beraten zur Eintragung. Für reine Motorsport-Anlagen ohne Zulassung weisen wir ausdrücklich auf die Nutzung abseits öffentlicher Straßen hin.
Wie lange dauert eine Maßanfertigung?

Warum Edelstahl statt aluminiertem Stahl?
Edelstahl V2A rostet nicht durch, hält Hitze dauerhaft stand und überlebt in der Regel das Fahrzeug – aluminierter Stahl ist billiger, korrodiert aber nach wenigen Jahren.
Gilt bei Maßanfertigungen ein Widerrufsrecht?
Nein. Nach Kundenwunsch gefertigte Ware ist gemäß § 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 1 BGB vom Widerruf ausgeschlossen. Deshalb klären wir vor Fertigungsbeginn alle Maße und Details verbindlich mit Ihnen.
